WEB HOSTING GUIDE

Choose web hosting around the website you want to build

Compare the number of websites, storage, email usage and monthly transfer before choosing a cPanel hosting plan. Whether you are launching your first business website or moving an existing project, a clear resource checklist makes the available plans easier to compare.

Compare the plans above
01

Start with your website and account needs

A company website may only need a plan for one site. For several projects, check how many websites the plan allows. Adding another domain does not necessarily provide independent resources or a separate account for each site.

If you manage websites for clients, review reseller hosting and account limits. Projects that need operating system access or custom services may be better suited to a VDS server.

02

Estimate storage and monthly transfer

Allow space for website files, databases, images and mailboxes, with room for growth. Where a file count limit applies, check inode usage as well as storage in GB. Many small files can reach a file count limit before storage is full.

For illustration, a page transferring an average of 2 MB across 10,000 views uses roughly 20 GB. Caching, downloads and automated visits change the actual figure. Resize images for their display size and monitor usage after launch.

03

Check software and control panel requirements

cPanel gives you access to the file, email and database tools enabled for your account. Confirm the PHP version and extensions your software needs. Available tools depend on the selected service and server configuration.

For WordPress, consider the theme, plugins and expected workload. Read our WordPress hosting guide to compare the needs of a blog, company website and online store.

04

Compare the total price and included services

Check the plan card for NVMe storage, SSL and control panel details. The displayed monthly equivalent can differ from the total charged today for a longer billing period. Review taxes, optional services and renewal terms in the order summary.

Hosting stores your files, a domain is your website address, and SSL encrypts the connection between the browser and server. Buying hosting does not automatically include domain registration. Check the selected plan before placing your order.

MIGRATION CHECKLIST

Test first, switch DNS afterwards

A planned migration helps you spot configuration issues before visitors reach the new server.

  1. Prepare a backup. Keep a restorable copy of files, databases and mail.
  2. Test compatibility. Check PHP, forms, links and any checkout process.
  3. Plan the DNS change. Cached records may continue to send visitors to the previous server.
  4. Verify the live website. Recheck HTTPS and incoming and outgoing email.

Unlimited storage or transfer does not mean unlimited CPU or memory. Confirm backup retention, restoration and migration scope for your plan. Share your current usage with our team when you need help comparing options.

HOSTING ESSENTIALS

The details that matter for your website

Compare management, security and migration needs alongside your resources.

NVMe storage

Plan space for files, databases and email. Compare storage capacity and file count limits against your expected growth.

SSL and HTTPS

Check SSL coverage for your plan and verify HTTPS after launch. SSL complements application updates and backups; it does not replace them.

Backup planning

Confirm backup frequency, retention and restoration scope for your service. Keep an independent copy before significant changes.

A planned migration

Share your current panel and software. Confirm migration scope, then plan file, email and DNS changes together.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

List your website count, file and database sizes, email use and monthly transfer. Compare software requirements and package limits. Hosting several sites or managing independent client accounts may change which service type is appropriate.

Website files, databases and mailboxes can all contribute to account disk use. Check both storage and file count limits for the plan. Inode limits matter when an account contains many small files.

No. A domain is your website address, hosting stores the files, and SSL encrypts the browser-to-server connection. Check the plan card for SSL details; domain registration and renewal may be charged separately.

Prepare current backups of files, databases and email. Tell support which panel and software you use. Once scope and compatibility are confirmed, test the new environment and plan the DNS change.

Longer plans may display a monthly equivalent while charging the entire selected period upfront. Check the billing period, total, tax and optional services in the order summary. Compare promotion and renewal terms over the same period.
