# Mailbox quota full: storage cleanup and capacity planning

Mailbox quota and total domain storage are separate limits. Current plans provide 1/5/10 accounts with 2/10/20 GB total storage, and a maximum of 2 GB per mailbox. Your active service settings are authoritative.

## Free space safely

1. Identify the affected mailbox and large messages, including Sent and Trash.
2. Export important conversations and verify the independent copy opens.
3. Remove unnecessary messages, then intentionally empty Trash and Junk.
4. Allow usage statistics to refresh and verify delivery.

Moving mail to an Archive folder on the same server usually does not reduce server usage. IMAP deletions synchronize across devices. Do not delete and recreate a full mailbox. Plan extra capacity with support and keep sensitive archives access-controlled. Offsite backup is not included in the current packages.
